Port Sandfield
Looking back over it’s 100 year history Port Sandfield was an incredibly important offering to the Muskoka Lakes. Named after the Premier of Ontario John Sandfield the town was built around a canal that was trenched between Lake Joseph and Lake Rosseau. The canal was important to expand and connect the Muskoka Lakes and soon steam ships crossed through its iconic swing bridge.
Today Port Sandfield has taken on more of a boutique feel. To it’s residents and tourists alike Port Sandfield offers exotic services from “Port Sandfield Marine” which sells high end boats by Sea Ray along with cigars and leisure wear. Forest Hill Real Estate has an office and clothing and patio furniture grace it’s retail stores. Across the bay is the Lake Joe Club which offers world class golf and restaurant facilities. The shores are lined with magnificent lake front cottages. Truly one of finest and most exotic locales in Muskoka
